Spitting HDMI signal

Does any know a good slpitter for splitting a HDMI signal form a WMC computer to 2 tv's? I bought one from monoprice but I can only get one signal to work. I know you use a extener but I do not want spend $200 to $300 for one just to watch 1 or 2 hrs of programs.

it may be a computer issue.
Have you tried to split another HDMI source, like a cable box or DVD player and see if the monoprice box works?

You may also try a USB to HDMI box and clone the display so the WMC unit is hooked to one TV and the USB>HDMI is hooked to the other TV.

I did not know that video also uses the usb port on a desttop computer.

Well, the USB device has a graphics chip in it.
You can opt for a USB to DVI unit and just use a DVI>HDMI cable, should be cheaper.
You just need to get one that supports the resolution you are using.
I've personally never used one so I don't know how it performs when playing back a 1080P file.

Is the media you are trying to display copy protected? If so HDCP will interfere.

It was the unit. I went to Bestbuy and got one and it is working like charm. Now to to get the sound to the other room.
