I call it the craptop.
You know Norton sucks when they make their own removal tool :D
.
Two things to be aware of:

1. Removal tools for security software are not uncommon - for instance kaspersky and CA offer them. There existence does not imply that the software is poor quality. No matter what product you use be grateful for a removal tool because one day you may need it.

2. Beta software is unreliable. It is clearly stated as such and although it is painful when it crashes and creates problems it should not be a surprise. Criticizing beta-ware for being unreliable is meaningless.

Is the beta version of NIS 2010 only good for a 14 day trial? Or is it until it is officially released?

.
Basically, you receive a 14 day key with the specific build you download. New builds are released often enough that you can usually continue using the beta without interruption. For more information use the link below to go to the beta forum.

Ha Ha would you believe it??
I thought i would screw around a bit more tryin to get norton beta off my system and i finally had some success with ccleaner which to date has worked well with win 7 rc 32 bit and i was sooooo happy i didnt have to start from scratch but wait for it........every time i boot up and win 7 loads i get a window that "pops up" asking for permission to run the installer for norton 2010 beta. How desperate and invasive is that?Or is this sort of marketing just generally accepted these days?I have no idea how to get rid of it and i no longer care. It's fresh install for me and no norton.I really dont like to be negative about these things but i feel as though norton itself has infected my system for its own evil gain (mwaa ha ha,or maybe it was trying to protect me?Ha Ha!) and it now resides way down on my list with such things as Mc D's and coca cola(can they sue me for that? lucky i'm poor he he!)Screw you symantec!ARRRRGH HA HA HA HA ARGH HA HA HAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Ok, a bit dramatic....over the top maybe.......call me crazy call me kooky but NORTON can lick my big hairy balls lol.
And you know all this aside i always thought nortons was ok.

Not any more!!! ARRRRGH HA HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
Norton lick my hairy ballsack!!!!!! ARGGHHH HA HAAAAAAA!!!
Excuse me while i take my medication.
Ahh thats better, but norton can still lick my hairy balls! ARGHH HA HAAAAA!
