I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate on an old ACER Travelmate 2410.

I cannot find a video driver for it.

The driver I need is shown here in the attachment.

Can anyone help me ?

sure, I can help. However, I will need you to do this for me, in order to let me know more about your system: New to SevenForums? Fill out your system specs (this tool may help you out a great deal).

From what I've gathered so far, I can only guess you have a dell computer and link you to this site (for you to look it up yourself): http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriversHome/NeedProductSelection

After you give me the information I need, I will gladly help you find a more precise driver for your specific needs

ps. from what it looks like, your computer may be very old and not entirely supported with a windows 7 driver, and i'm not even sure if it has a windows xp driver. you might try letting dell automatically search your computer for the right driver for your needs (if, of course, you have a dell).

Intel 915GM graphics. You're not going to find a Windows 7 driver for it as Intel never made one,

Graphics — Older Intel® graphics controllers and Microsoft Windows 7* operating system

The best you're going to get for it is wither the last XP driver, either from Intel (if it will install) or whatever the last one Acer has for it.

Thanks for your reply.
I also found this on the Intel site.
Then I had the idea, that there maybe was a solution.
I have the drivers downloaded for XP from ACER, but they seem not to work correctly.

It looks like it is installed if I boot up the notebook, but after a new startup, it's the same

Have you tried installing the driver in Compatibilty Mode?

Right-click the driver installer and choose Properties followed by the Compatibility tab.

Choose the option for Windows [XP Service Pack 3], select Run as Administrator under Privilege Level and apply the changes.

:note:Within the [ ] box I made changes to fit your specific situation that are different than the original quote

* See if this fixes your problem. Also, no, I probably don't need that information as it has been confirmed that there are no vista or windows 7 drivers for your system

That's the only problem with trying to upgrade to a new version of windows. I've got a 6 year old NEC laptop with vista on it, but no drivers are available for audio.

Now that doesn't mean other versions of drivers don't work.

AMD don't make or support drivers for Windows server versions.
But a vista/win7 version 10.11 installed and worked fine. As my server also houses all my media I wanted to be able to use my GPU for HD movies and blurays.

To all of you, that replied to me.
First of all many thanks.
The drivers seems to run now, having installed them with compatibility mode for XP.

@dustsailor.
I can send you the wanted informations you asked for, as I have downloaded the nice systeminfo tool

You don't have to. If you put the information here: system specs (These blue words are a link) - then everyone will be able to see it and potentially offer better advice.
If you are done with this thread and your questions have been answered, please mark it as solved. take care
