WEI score after new SSD installation ;)

ssdwei.png
I would of thought the Bulldozer chip would have scored higher on the WEI from the reviews i heard it is fast

Looking at the 7.1 is kinda disapointing i know the WEI doesn't mean a hill of beans but im wondering is this due to Applications still can't take advantage of what the CPU can offer ?

Im scoring a 7.5 with a 965 BE chip Oc'ed of course ,Also wondering if you Oc'ed the chip will the WEI go up ?

Reason why i am saying all this ,I looking towards grabbing one of those chips maybe the Hexcore , there's no point in getting a 8 core i dont use apps that use more then four core's if any

I would love to hear from more Bulldozer chip users or even with the same quadcore chip if you 4100 what WEI did you get ?

You have a snip of Devilz WEI, his specs say CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 - 2.4GHz OC 3GHz. RitualJman has a Bulldozer, at 7.2, did you mean his?

Looks like you can yank out one of those 500GB internal HDDs and throw in a SSD, that laptop would actually levitate

ah, ok. I always thought the only change between the 2 systems WEI's was the 5.9 and 7.9 cap. So they changed the evaluation system itself too. That'll probably explain it.

@carwiz : yea, I agree. Most netbooks are struggling with just 1 OS.
It's all Packard Bell's fault really. I asked them to put Vista drivers in their downloads section, and got a reply telling me that it is not possible to run that netbook on anything other than XP.
And what do you do when they tell you that you can't do something? Indeed, you just do it.

I'm not done with it yet. I considered putting OSX on it, and maybe I will do just that sometime soon. If I get that to run properly, the next logical step would be a penta boot.
