Hi all,

I just got myself a new wallpaper for my Win7, which has the Win7 logo mirrored. I now would find it beautifull if my desktop shortcuts could also be mirrored?

Kind regards,

Renzo

Welcome to the Seven Forums
I do not know of any program that will do it but you could use this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/53402-shortcut-change-icon.html it will show you how to change the icon what you'll have to do is either find the icons that already have been made reflective or create your own and put them in a folder and put somewhere like in my documents and navigate to that folder when you change the icons but did not move that folder or you'll have to reset your icons again.
If you want to remove the shortcut arrow use this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3606-shortcut-arrow-change-remove-restore.html

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for your prompt reply and your welcome!
Hmm okay, I'm not really savvy with editing pictures etc. so I'll leave that part out then sadly, but the Shortcut Arrow I will do!

Thank you very much,

Renzo

Hi, just one quicky, the .ico file, how should I open it? Rename to a JPG?

Right, I got the stuff mirrored, now, how do I change the icon on the desktop? I presume it's not with the .ico file in the root folder of the application, as after logging off and back in it still has the old logo.

Kind regs

You'll need to save the image as a .png (Mirror1.png) for example.

Then go to ConvertICO.com - Convert .PNG format files to .ICO or .ICO format files to .PNG : Windows Vista compatible icons to convert the image to a Icon file.

Then right click on the Shortcut or Application or whatever you would like to change, and select Properties. Under the Shortcut Tab click Change Icon, Browse to (Mirror1.ico) and open it, click OK and OK.

It should be done.

Let me know if this worked.

Cheers Joe.

First one worked with the website, but on the second icon I enter the PNG, hit convert, then it reloads the page and doesn't show a download anymore...

EDIT: the PNG picture is quite large, 2000x2000 pixels, does it matter?
