hi i have used google and searched until results turn completely random for having 2 monitors each with seperate desktops, because i am using my backup computer {which also happens to be used by my grandfather} and he has a lot of work to do, and i play games all day, so i looked and i have a amd radeon hd 4350 with hdmi/vga/dvi ports and we need to both use the same pc at the same time, so i was wondering; is it possible to have 1 monitor playing games and the other doing other stuff? by that i mean 2 different taskbars, 2 different mice, and NOT be able to drag the cursor between monitors?

please help i have searched for 3 days to no avail :cry::cry:

please forgive me if this is in the wrong section as i could not find a section fitting my question. i would gladly move it if it's in the wrong place.

You can setup two KB's, two mice and two monitors but when both are on you will be fighting over the cursor as you can't have two users working on the same desktop at the same time. What is more important for either of you, your grandpa's work or your game playing!, if the work is more important and work usually is then your grandpa should be allowed to get his work done first and when he is done then you can play your games.

If it is your backup computer, get another monitor for yourmain one and you can both have exclusive use to a PC. What you are wanting to do would require 2 PCs anyway.

Be patient then, grandpa's work should be first, play games when he doesn't need to work. Play is for after work, and your will be back soon. Don't fry the board this time. Grandpa will likely be pi**ed if you fry his computer ya know. ;)
