Most of the antivirus vendors has released there new version of 2011 and i think there are some pros and cons by each company.
I think its not the best year of the product release by av companies.
What is your opinion on this topic.

List of Few av released new versions:

Avira:Nothing special in 2012 version but able to maintain quality of last version.

Avast: Waiting for new version and nothing special to mention here.

Bitdefender:Same memory eater ahd heavy. {Dead body will not become light if one cuts its hair}

Comod: Same as always

Eset:Most disappointing new release of year .Lost its quality and easeness from last year.

Emsisoft: Better than lst version

F-secure: Horrible 2012 version.Installation is pain in XXX

G-Data: you never notice

Kaspersky:One of the better performing 2012 version

Mse: I dont know when it will change

Norton:Loosing performance and third on disappointing list along with f-secure and eset

Outpost Security: Dont notice too much change however a good product.Still slow scan

Panda:Looks same as it was last version

Trend Micro:Same story

Vipre:A bit heavier than last version

Webroot: Although they achieve good reputation and publicity after releasing webroot cecureanywhere products and its a good release of 2011 I think its a new software to try on pc but cant leave machine only on it.

Zonealarm: No improvement

You forgot Outpost. I just updated to 7.1 free version on one of my XP machines. It now includes AV but I chose to stay with Avira so it self-disabled the AV and runs as a firewall and spam scanner. It's very much improved over the old version I had.

I'd like to hear if anyone is running Outpost with the AV and firewall on Windows 7. It doesn't get much press and is often left out of comparisons. I've been running Outpost Firewall on two XP machines since about 2007.

Thanks for reminder,I had tried it on my machine and it runs smooth but i doubt there is a good follower of its antivirus software ;)
Btw its hips and firewall are best among business
