BSODs Bad_pool_caller and Clock_watchdog_timeout Win7 64bit

- Install is 1 month old

I am getting BSODs and system freezes. Originally, I did not get a BSOD, just a system freeze and now I am getting two BSODs. bad_pool_caller and CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT

Brand new hardware all around.

i7 2600k
2x4gb ram
Asrock Z68 extreme4 Gen3
Asus DVDRW
Corsair 750W PSU

No videocard. Using integrated video for the time being.

Related to Soluto.sys PCGenome Core Driver from Soluto LTD. I would remove it.

zigzag. I was getting crashes before I installed Soluto. It was freezing requiring a reboot. No BSOD. No minidump.

In situations such as this it is wise to do the following...

To check for freezing/crashing.

Event viewer.

Type eventvwr in search and go to the windows log>application tab.
Look for errors that have red in the left hand column that say app hang, or app crash, or anything relating to the CURRENT problem.
When you find any make a screenshot and upload them to us.

What information appears in event logs (Event Viewer)?

That was the first thing I did, but the apps seem to be whatever was running at the time of the lock up. But I have had the system freeze during multiple different applications.

Ok. I installed new intel chipset and media engine drivers. Ran a sfc which was clean and now I am doing a boot time chkdsk.

I had errors before I installed iTunes. It just hung really bad and I had to kill the process.

I agree with this. Backup any important user files first following the backup steps for user files in http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/615-backup-user-system-files.html?filter. In step 9. choose not to include a system image of drives (uncheck the box).

I edited my system details. I recently updated some drivers. If I continue to get the crashes then I will do as you say and re-install windows 7.

Ok, I updated some of the drivers. I also switched about MSE for Panda Cloud antivirus. I just got a BSOD. The Clock timeout one. Should I try re-installing windows?

hile I would not have switched from MSE to panda (especially cloud) a clock watchdog isnt usually caused by that

Are you by chance overclocking anything?

I am not, However I have read that it might be a problem with the power stepping on the motherboard and it not providing enough voltage. Again, this is just what I have read in my searches, it seems a lot of people with this motherboard are getting this same BSOD. I am not overclocking.

If it might be an issue specific to your mobo you should contact them for the most up to date information.

Might be a BIOS update, but I am unsure.
