. But I was not aware of the fact that there were so many different versions of windows 7. I dont know which mine is, because I can't get my laptop up and running. Is that why Im getting the same message? (I am using a repair disc that was created from another windows 7 computer) maybe theyre not the same version of win 7? I will also let u know, that start up repair has not fixed it. It just says cannot repair do u want to shut down or whatever, then it restarts and tries to run it again. Did I understand correctly that u need to run it three times? none of the other recovery options have worked. The command prompt option is the only 1 that i made ANY progress with.
