How can I login after changing from Domain to workgroup

I changed the domain on my work laptop to Workgroup so I could print on my local LAN at home and now I can not login using my user name and password.

My laptop has a PGP total disk encryption. I can log in on the first PGP login screen. After that, Win7 login appears and I can not login using my usual name and password. Anybody know how I can get this resolved?

Hello Ghost9119

Did you tried the safe mode ?? Boot into safe mode by pressing F8 on startup and reset your current password.

Ghost9119, I don't know the limitations of the PGP software but try logging in like this: thenameofyourpc\local user name then local user password. If this is a corporate laptop you may not have a local user account so you would need the local administrator name and password. BTW printing on your home lan should have been configured via tcp/ip.
You didn't need to make the change to a Workgroup. You have no way to re-join your domain if you are not a domain administrator. Let us know how things go.

Hello,

If you have removed your PC from the domain and you log into the PC with a Domain accout it will not know to authenticate the login details with the Server.

In short, you wont be able to log into a domain account if the PC is no longer on the domain. I suggest you contact your IT company and put the laptop back on the domain. If printer is required at your home, ask them to give you local Administrator access which will allow you to add printers.
