Windows 7 start up error 0x00000e9 I/O error

For the past 1 month, whenever i used to turn on my laptop, at start up, it gave me that there is an error 0x00000e9
Description : Unknown I/O error from the driver or unknown thing.

I want to restore my laptop because it has corrupted files. But whenever i want to restore i click F10 at startup, but i also have error 0x00000e9, but i click continue but it repeats it self.

I can use it in Safe mode, and im currently using Safe Mode with Networking.

I did a DriverScanner and i had 15 outdated drivers (lol), but i updated all of them. And i have a repair disc that i guess is 164 mb? Please correct me if i have the right repair disc, and if i can use it.

Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on SONY VAIO.
4GB RAM.

No, not me. And i tried CHKDSK, it tells me something about " cannot continue on read only "

You need to run chkdsk in repair mode

Didnt help, but took less tahn 3 hours, and in stage 4 it replaced a file, i think audio usb has everything written on it, because when im on safe mode there is no audio, and the cause is that it is unplugged.

Somewhere in this forum, said if you could go through safe mode then go to C:\Windows\Minidump and paste what there is.

Sorry but we need the actual DMP files not just their names.


We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

Your Avast is causing your NETwNs64.sys to fail. I would remove Avast and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST and update the network driver to the newest available version.

Avast can be a contributing cause of BSOD'S . Please remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

I tried recovery disc, didnt help me.

System restore, the oldest one was 12/1/2011 which isnt a difference.
