Solved another way to open up Recycle Bin

is it also in the favorites list in an explorer window ,or am i just seeing it there because i added it to the list eons ago and have forgotten :huh:

Hello Julian,

You must have added it at some time in the past. By default, the Recycle Bin is not in the navigation pane Favorites group.

I have deleted to remove recycle bin from the Taskbar because I have too many stuff pinned to the taskbar, however after I deleted the recycle bin, the taskbar separator is still there. However can I get rid of that?

You would just need to right click on the taskbar, click on Toolbars, uncheck Recycle Bin to remove it, then lock the taskbar.

so it doesn't. It simply hides the separator, but the effect of the separator is still there and affects the icons I have pinned to the taskbar.

Then I do not know what it is you are trying to do. It seemed like you did not want to see the separator, and my advice does make it disappear, however by your response you must be seeking some other effect. What is it that you want here? Do you want the pinned items to be smaller? Let us know, and we will continue to try to help.
