Latest Windows 7 Leak Claims to be RTM

Yes, likely so but it's not happened with the last 4 upgrade installs.
They have all gone smoothly and shown noticeable improvements all round plus no mouse problem. John:rolleyes:

Yes. I use FF 3.5 and (so far) it only happens with the Digg site.
At first it's ok but after clicking on a couple of Digg posts and returning to the main page the mouse pointer starts to flicker so much and for a lengthening period that I have to get off the site.
I moved on to Reddit which is a similar type of site and no problem.
Very strange.
Of course it might happen with sites I've not looked at yet but I'm worried it'll spread.
So why Digg? Or is it the mouse or the build or the upgrade install?

Cheers,J:)

If it doesn't happen with any other websites, then it could be either some cookies doing some mischief. Try using another browser(IE) and see if the issue persists. Let me know the results.

I have been using digg.com for the last 10 mins and did not face any mouse issues. Could you please restart your computer in safe mode with networking and try browsing digg.com to see if the problem persists?

Hi Dinesh,

Just restarted in safe mode with networking and browsed Digg.com and the problem is still there.
Could it be the mouse driver? As I said this has been the only driver I've had to download and install each time I've upgraded or clean installed W7.

Have to go to work soon but I'll be back on in about 12 hours.
Thanks very much for your input, John:D

Hi John, uninstall your mouse driver and then do a windows update and it will find a generic driver for your computer. Look at this thread. He is having the same mouse and he fixed it this way. If it still doesn't work, by the time you come back from work, i will try and find a soution that will work.

Ive noticed some changes in the RTM build though but they are very minor

1- Possibility to add OEM information to My Computer
2- Evaluation Mark Removed
3- Faster explorer, now lesser chances of explorer crashes

That is what I have seen uptill now.

The Edition Selection was present in 384, you had to EXTRACT the ISO using 7-Zip or some extraction utility, then go to Sources folder in the Windows 7 directory and DELETE "ei.cfg" and then rebuild the ISO or copy/paste Windows 7 directory onto USB flash drive to install upon bootup. :)

Woot!

Probably scramble for the torrents,
read bitches about seeders,
read messages from those who are going to sleep,
complaints about less than 1803 Mbs,

see 389 requests for PM's,
see 387 messages saying "PM sent",

then go thru the inevitable "Is this the real thing" type questions,
with the inevitable "Yes/No/I don't think so/I really believe it is/ Microsoft says, etc/,

read the posts complaining about the driver-problems,
link ref is from Thailand and I can't read it, WZOR site is down/can't log-in/can't read Russian/posts not up to date, MS warns about endangering your computer with infected .iso files,

then the usual 'Robinski' .iso versus the 'HamLing' mods as 26 RAR files,

What do I do with the 26 RAR files/How do I make a bootable paper-clip,
and all the other usual questions that follow...

The ones I love the most are the: "I just installed the iso and this/that doesn't work",
no mention of x86, 64bit, Robinski, the Chinese version, which torrent was DL, what the buildnbr was, no file-names, file-sizes, file-dates, etc.

Nah, it's gonna be lots of fun, when the "real RTM" is 'leaked'... :roflmao:
235 pages of the same old stuff...
How in the heck we get thru it, I'll never know....

Great post Chuck!!! My sentiments exactly! ;)

its worth it only if you get this build number Windows 7600.16385. 84 doesnt hack it with ie8. Just keeps shutting down on you. If you want to upgrade go to cversion.ini in the source folder and change it to 7100. then burn it. You will be able to upgrade but be warned MS recomends that you do a clean install. Hope this helps'Bob:D
