I am thinking about using a LCD TV as a montor only. I have never done this so I would ask the group their pro/con on this issue.

Thanks

none really. response time might be a little on the slow side, depends on the TV quality.

I used to use a samsung 32" LED tv for a monitor and had 0 issues, i only changed monitors as it was far to big to be sat about 12" away from lol

OK thanks for your answer. I have 1 other thing I neglected to put in my question and
it is the video card & cables.

My system has the generic ATI Raedon HD 3200 card and HDMI and VGA ports. I think the card is OK but the wiring I'm not sure of what to use. I suppose it depends on the TV but what cables do you use.

HDMI transmits HD sound and video, VGA transmits only analog video; which is poorer quality.

Is the ATID Raedon HD 3200 built onto the motherboard or is it a PCI card?

I have a machine hooked up via HDMI/motherboard to a 32 inch tv and it works just fine. My machine is a dual core 3.something processor and 4 GB of RAM.
