He is older and is very slow with reading and writing. He can do it but hes not as literate as I think he had dyslexia, this was back in the day when there was really no help for kids with those kind of problems. He is in his 50's now and forget knowing how to use a keyboard. I spent hours with him over the phone yesterday. I will just tell him we need to change it to something shorter, numbers a date that is special to him but not a birthday or anniversary. It is a laptop and he is a truck driver whom goes to truckstops and wants to take it with him so a password is important in answer to addram. He just says it is hard to remember as he is typing what the last letter he typed was when he can't see it. I helped him with his virus software and firewall. He has both now and I called his cable company and helped him get a password on his router etc. He really doesn't know anything about computers at all. Period. Resisted them up to now but he just lost his job and is thinking of getting his own truck and being independent and needs a computer to find loads to haul. I live over 3000 miles from him so it is more difficult as everything is over the phone. Doing my best to help him even though I am just a regular person not an IT tech. Thanks.
