hmm now i want an SSD even more!!!
also sometime's when i re-run the test cpu goes from 7.4 to 7.5. The - 0.1 is happening by the heat of the cpu (overclock's itself from 1.80GHz to 2.90GHz (intel turbo boost))
Is there a way to make my laptop more cooler? At idle its temps are 38-48C and at full power it can reach 70C!

That is not unusual for a laptop, some get much hotter.

You can clean the dust out, depending on your laptop, should be able to take off the back cover and get to most of it.
Also a Laptop cooler stand may help.

I have HD-2000 and get 5.7 on Aero and 6.3 on 3D Business and Gaming Graphics. The 3D came up .1 on the last driver update.

5.9 is the most you'll get with a spinner HDD. You'd need a SSD to get past that. Don't worry, if the PC is doing what you need it to do, WEI is only a number

This is a 5400 RPM HDD in a test setup.

I may have the highest scoring 5,400 RPM drive out there....certainly the highest scoring one I have seen, anyways. Not that I haven't wondered what an SSD might do for this lightly powered unit, of course.....

even geting 7200RPMers would make a very noticeable difference.

Nah.. I'm fine. With 6 GB of RAM I don't fill the pinch that often. And I like the wide open spaces of the classic HDD.

I have thought about it, but I would want more than 64GB if I was to put one in this netbook....and then if I was to get one, I'd probably be more conscious of the limitations of the CPU and RAM. A vicious cycle, these upgrades can be....lol

For what I paid for this netbook last year, I can get a more powerful 15.6" laptop now....only drawback would be the battery life drop-off. But I can't just go buy another one without selling this one....so I'll probably hang onto this one for another year. It still does what I need it to do just fine.
