Solved New Computer Build Bsod Help Please

Hi my name is ryan im new here and i have a problem with my new system.

Im keep getting bsods and this one has just happend.
My specs are not OCed

amd bulldozer fx6100 3.3ghz
gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 motherboard
corsair vengence 2x4gig ddr3 1600mhz
palit gtx550ti 1024mb

installed windows clean without problems but soon i start to play any games im warped with a bsod everytime. My motherboard and all the drivers are all upto date.

Hello ryan,
We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

You might try bringing your Windows up to date before running programs. There are tons of fixes in SP1 and the updates that followed. Nearly all drivers rely on a current OS.

* Symantec is a frequent cause of BSOD's.
Please remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST.

Please run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) and then update to SP-1

Besides following JMH's suggestions please update the following drivers as USB modems tend to give win 7 fits.

How To Find Drivers:

- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

thanks for the reply guys installing security essentials and doing windows updates. As for the usb modem thats my mobile dongle i use to go online and since i cant afford to get broadband yet iv got to put up with it. I cant get an update for the dongle because it doesnt support the newer driver unless i have to buy one once i get all the updates etc il report back whats happening. thanks in advance.

So iv took a 4 gig stick out of my machine and installed sp1 no problems and relised i have faulty memory and since iv took that chip out iv had the games running about 45 mins now and seems fine but IL keep up to date through out this afternoon and see what happens and i would like to say a big massive thankyou for the comments and the info, (1st impression thought on my machine was going to be the same as my old one.)

running champion no problems now. Iv took the chip out and put the funny one in and tried it just to see if it was a failing slot but i can confirm its that ram chip and im going to exchange it tomorrow and other than that its running perfect and thanks again for the help much appreciated.
