From your questions, I would guess you might not know a whole lot about computers. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to offend, but sometimes educating oneself on "staying safe online" is well worth the time it takes to read a few articles. Here are some that might help you out tremendously:

I believe each of these will help you better understand computers and how to keep yourself safe online. Make sure you have an antivirus installed after you 'clean' reinstall your computer with Windows 7.

Also, I believe it is near impossible for 8 hackers to have gained access to your computer. And why would they want to? However, you may have multiple viruses/malware/spyware/trojans. Some of these can send personal data elsewhere, or just simply wreck havok on your system. Thus I am also recommending the clean reinstall so that you might start fresh (the viruses, etc will all be erased).

just a ? to any 1 on this thread i posted...... why are 8 guests watching the thread along with 2 members? i understand members but 8 guests ... thats about how many people in the group of remoters im convinced go in and out of my comp. That can happen right?

That's the count of non-members browsing this site who happen to be reading this thread, NOT people getting into your computer. We get plenty of traffic here and threads with recent posts do attract readers.

You can't click Yes on UAC prompts because you've likely been set up as a Standard User, which requires an Administrative password to make changes to the computer.

This will be solved during Clean Reinstall when you type in your Name for your Account which will be an Administrative-level account. You'll still be warned when changes are being made to your computer, but you can click right through them.

Be sure to install MSE and the other recommended programs to setup and maintain your new Win7 flawlessly. I would not add any other maintenance apps at all, especially tweaking or registry cleaner apps. Be very careful about what you install, ask back if you have any questions, and watch every step during installing a program so that no toolbars, search services or other spyware sneaks in.

I bought a toshiba 675-7052 satelite 3 yers ago set up by geek squad which i thought was a good thing. turns out its been a nightmare for 3 years . I have restored my disks i bought from toshiba at least 100 + times. and same thing happens every time i do a factory default with the disks. it goes through the setup like 4 times on black screen and always installs the stupid best buy icon and i swear its the virus or malware!!!!! its so out of control I have 0 of it on my own comp. so what im asking is after i hit finish on the factory defaullt software, how can i prevent a team of remote people from getting in my computer? It takes about 5 min to b so out of whack I am about to throw in towel. HELP suggestions before i hit the finish button on the recovery complete? I pray so also on the restall it says 0-464 and its 465 that needs to b downloaded. i think the 1 kb or mb whatever is the culprate. Thanks

If the restore is complete, why would you need further advice?

Whatever you do, make sure the computer is clean, whether it is installing an antivirus to check for bugs, clean installing the system, or restoring the computer to factory settings.

Take a breath. Are you sure they are viruses? Perhaps it is just what comes installed on your computer. All you need to protect against viruses is something like the MSE antivirus and malwarebytes (if you click this link, the "Now Downloading" is not a hack, it is normal). If you have an antivirs already, are you using it and is it installed?:

Every once in a while (monthly or so), do a scan with malwarebytes. MSE should be set to auto scan and auto update, or whatever antivirus you have installed. make sure malwarebytes and your antivirus are updated before you do the monthly scans. Thats it. No mo' hackers.

Type "Advanced System" without quotes into your start menu search bar (this) and click the link and the top of the menu. Click the "remote" tab (upper right-hand side). Uncheck the upper box, and select the 'don't allow connections box' below that. Now you're set. Make sure windows update is fully updated (yes, all important updates, even if the number is 71). You will need all of them to make sure security loopholes are secured.

Don't worry so much! Let your antivirus do its work and stop second-guessing it! Have some peace of mind. No one is so into taking over your computer that they would have dedicated attacks against it. Read my previous post about safe browsing, and you should be set! If you get a virus, your antivirus should take care of it. No more problems. You do not have classified info on it, and your bank account is no where big enough for them to care. Hopefully this causes you more happiness than pain

PS: I know the people helping you so far in this thread all know what they are talking about. It would be wise to follow their advice.

Vegas, everything you need to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 is in the blue link.

Look over the steps and ask back any questions you have.

All of the preinstalled crapware including Best Buy's spyware will be left out and you'll only get the pristine Win7 OS.

If you follow the steps given ONLY then you'll get and maintain a perfect install.

If I read it right, you answered an eMail and gave remote access to the sender.

If that is correct, then you should turn off Remote Assistance
Computer ==> Properties ==> Advanced system settings ==> Remote (tab)
==> clear the checkbox labeled "Allow remote Assistance connections to this computer" ==> Click OK

Note: this action will prevent legitimate assistance as well.

the restore size is always 1 mb off every time! sys options

because i havnt hit finish yet and yes it restores/restored . But Its so weird I cant take screen shots to send! best buy icon is still their! wouldnt it get wiped out? Norton is a fake norton. When i finally got kreofsky security 2012 downloaded , my self and emails back n forth from kreofsky.

I had 8000 maliscous files that ended up being like 4million. how is that possible? So I restore it ok. Their is always something red highlighted in start menu either ccc or best buy icon as well as always all programs.

another thing when fresh restore their is a blue screen that says toshiba and sits their saying downloading 1-57 and starts up n restarts numerous times. the weird thing is I can click n drag on the far left of page and drag it to the right i can see all thats going on behind the toshiba mirror or whatever the technical term is.

Also when i go to control panel and uninstall the list is not in alphebetical order isnt that a sign things r wrong? Ive had a couple people work on it in past and they knew their stuff ,even got a new harddrive. please let me know Thanks :shock:

I gave you the steps and the file needed to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Download the .iso file for your licensed version, burn to DVD using the tool provided, then follow the steps to get a perfect clean reinstall.

Otherwise you're just juggling a bunch of preinstalled crapware which isn't needed by Win7 to function best.

If you only restore it (and didn't do the clean install as suggested), then the preinstalled programs will still be there. I am pretty sure they wouldn't be fake. They might be attempting to sell you something though. That means you would have to uninstall the programs yourself. Sometimes all it takes is deleting the icon link, sometimes you have to uninstall. Make sure you know what you are uninstalling because drivers and other useful items get listed in the uninstall programs area as well.

Also, Kreofsky doesn't exist. Kaspersky may be what you mean.

How did you come to this figure? This sounds suspicious. What program told you this? You may want to do the clean install as suggested.

I'm not sure what you mean. Perhaps this is just the restore screan loading the restore? It does take time. Restore/reinstalls require numerous computer restarts. Perhaps 1-57 are the steps it takes to load?

No, the list is only in the order you put it in. Could be alphabetical (standard), could be by date installed, publisher, etc. It should be highlighted which way it is being organized.

i want to do the clean reinstall but what blank discs do i buy? dvd-rw? and you can only do this once right ? and if mine has been used which I think has because I had 2 diff people work on it back in the day. I called a guy out actually and asked him if he stole my lisence.... thats crazy i forgot about it. he said your going crazy how could i do that. he stole mine and offf my old vista and my gf i bet. i cant wait to find out

I would also like to add a few pieces of info:

On step 1, you need to download the correct version of windows. You can see what version you are using by:

A. right-clicking on "Computer" in the Start Menu and selecting properties.
or
B. going to the control panel and selecting "System"
or
C. Typing "System Information" into the Startmenu search bar.

You should see the information required on each of those screens. (x86 is for 32Bit Windows)

On step 2, you can use either PowerISO or ImgBurn to create the DVD disk if you have any problems with the Microsoft program.

since you are not worried about your current data, you can skip steps 3 and 4

I would do step 5 and either print report or save to an external source.

This should get you were you need to be. Other things to note:

When Win7 comes back up, you will need to create a password for your user account.

Win7 will install updates upon startup.

You will still need to choose an antivirus software. There will be a notificationon the taskbar that will warn you of this and when selecting will give you a visual display of all of the top AV Software available. There is some debate on which one is best, but (MSE) Microsoft Security Essentials is a good base and is very very good. (and installs painlessly)

you should consider are getting an external drive for backups and data storage

I would make a backup as soon as you have a good stable system.
