Solved 16.0 GB (15.0 GB usable) I'm confused :(

Hey guys, I have a really weird problem, in Control Panel > System it shows I have 16.0 GB ( 15.0 GB usable) please check the screen shots below, I formatted the other day due to this and it returned to normal, to wake up again today to show this, I have ran Memtest86+, MemtestCL, Furmark, OCCT, MSI Kombuster, 3D MARK 11 but the lot is stable, so I am 99.9% aware this is not a Hardware problem, You're input would be greatly appreciated.

Exactly what's the problem? Is something not running correctly? Do you have a stability problem? I'm only asking because it's quite normal to have less usable than available RAM if part of the RAM is being shared, like with an onboard video card.

Thanks for replying , there is not a problem, just wish to know if I can find out what's using that 1GB of ram, cant be on board video has I am using 2 GTX 480s, an no I'm not having stability issues either bud

Well clearly it says "Hardware Reserved" thus the hardware is using it. Any options concerning it would be in the BIOS.

Thanks for You're reply, could I ask, what is the common reason for a pc/bios to hold Ram back? just so I know what to look for, thanks.

Last night I changed a few things in bios, now it is showing has 16GB once again.
