installation freezes at expanding files and doesnt recognize drivers

Hi everyone
I am trying to install windows 7 64 with a new M3A79-T. It keeps freezing at expanding files with error 0x80300001.
I figure this might be due to missing sata drivers but when i click load drivers during the installation
windows doesn't recognize anything. I tried with the mobo support dvd and i tried burning drivers from the mobo website and using that dvd. In either case i can browse to the dvd but all the folders
in it are empty, so nothing to install even though the driver are definitely there. when i click on scan
i get a message that no signed device drivers were found.

I have no idea where to go from here.

The error is almost always a bad installer. Where did you get Win7? Did you burn the DVD yourself? Confirm the ISO and burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed, or write confirmed ISO to flash stick using Universal USB Installer with Win7 in dropdown menu.

yes I have installed this dvd myself with a software recommended by this Microsoft student scheme where i got the windows 7 from. I have used this dvd to install windows before on my old motherboard and it worked. then i switched to my new mobo and windows expired within a month because i lost my old key. So i bough a new key and tried reinstalling from the same dvd.

I have also tried installing to a different dvd with the same result

The software that was recommended was IsoBurner

First off, you didn't need to buy a new key as retail (student) version can be moved to any computer of your choice for the life of the OS. So try to find your old key as it is still good.

Reset the BIOS to defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS WHile in BIOS setup set SATA controller to AHCI to try install

Try wiping the HD first with Diskpart Clean Command .

Remove all but 2gb RAM to try install.

If these fail we need to go back to the installer as I've never seen this be anything other than a faulty installer. Try burning the latest ISO to DVD or writing to flash stick from Steps 1 and 2 here: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Flash install sometimes helps.

I have already cleared cmos and tried installing with 1 ram stick, and my sound card out. I installed linux mint to see if the hd is faulty and it worked fine. While installing linux i also fraged the hard drive. i have tried installing in both ahci and ide modes. I just cant seem to be able to load any drivers during the installation. The only other option i see now is to buy a brand new dvd and try to install windows again?

Did you even read what I wrote? Since this error is almost always the installer, you should download the latest official installer and burn to DVD or write to flash stick using the tool in the first two steps of Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

You already unnecessarily bought another Win7 key when you could have used the same one to reinstall on the new mobo, since retail Win7 can migrate to any PC of your choice. Do you now want to buy another DVD when the latest is available free for download?

Yes I have red what you said but I downloaded the Iso installer from the official website less then 2 months ago. The download takes a while so do you think that the image has been updated in that time. If so ill download again. I have used the isoBurner following the manual from the website, this dvd has worked in the past.

Go ahead and use the ISO you have but burn a new DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed: ImgBurn
