Hi,

When I was trying to set up a static IP address to create a server with port fowarding, the default IP adress, subnet mask, default gateway and DNS server boxes in the internet protocol version 4(TCP/IPv4) properties were all epmty.
I enetered my own static ip adress and the other information I got from the ipconfig, and proceeded. some errors showed up but I continued becuase I thougt I could change the settings back to default if it gone wrong anyways. On that point I lost internet connection, so it didnt work. Then I tried to put the settings back to default by emptying all the boxes, like how it was before. It didnt work, I also tried to enter the information i got from the ipconfig with the real IP adress, not the static ofcourse, it didnt work either. What should I do now? :(

I am just a Dutch 16 year old girl who wanted to set up a MineCraft server, so im sorry for my use of lanuage.

Welcome to the forum!

Your use of English is just fine.

Did you make sure to reselect the "Obtain .... automatically" radio buttons were selected when you tried to go back?

Can you post a screenshot of your ipconfig /all?

Well thank you and that's good to hear!

I am currently not at my own home and on my own PC, so I am not sure and I can't check now.
I will make sure to post the screenshot of it tomorrow after I tried to reselect the "obtain .... automatically" buttons if thats OK? :)

You're welcome!

And that's fine to take whatever time you need. There's always someone around here who can work with you whenever you're ready!
