Update error 800B0100 for KB976932 and couple more

Hi. I've been having that issue for a long time and never worked out how to fix it. I've got to the part of downloading the Hotfix from System Update Readiness Tool that fixes Windows Update problems is available for Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2008 (to tell you the truth, the download didn't want to start, even when I disabled my firewall, so I had to ask a friend to download it for me).

I have Kaspersky Internet Security but tried updating with it being switched off.

Try to uninstall KB2699988 and then reinstall it

I also get error for updates: KB2722913, KB2544521
I will appreciate any help with that problem.

Both are internet explorer patches. So problem is probably related to internet explorer stuff

I just get "problem loading page" like the page doesn't exist. I disabled Kaspersky and tried on different browsers. Such thing does NOT happen on any other website.

Thanks for the tips. I just tried this method and still no help. It didn't help me in downloading the manual updates from Microsoft, nor using Windows Update. I also tried on my laptop at home and it doesn't download the file either (it however also has Kaspersky). I reckon there has to be something wrong with my router, although when I disable Firewall in it I get switched off the Internet Do you think I should make another thread about the issue of downloading files from Microsoft?

you think there's a router problem? You have a laptop... go to neighbour or friend and try to download using his router

I live in London (UK), I don't know who my neighbours are

P.S. I'll ask my friend in the evening who will upload it to the server for me to download so will reply back then.

I've zipped up the replacement files and attached it to this post. Please download it and extract the files to %Windir%\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Where %Windir% is usually C:\Windows

Then rerun the SURT and copy and paste the CheckSUR.persist.log as before

Hi! Many thanks for the files. Below are the details from the log. Not sure if I should run Windows update now (as it looked as fixed).... but I'll try it anyway ...... and it looks the updates are installed but just need a restart now so I'll post it first and come back with full results.

GREAT! The updates went through this time. I also had now a definition update KB915597 which fails to install (code 8024402C). Is this somehow related or should I try with a clean boot?

Reboot and try again. It should be fixed!
