I personally love tabs on top, how its integrated into the title bar. The makers of Chrome were geniuses for coming up with that, it's such a simple way to give the user back a lot of screen real estate. I personally alternate between the most recent Chromium and Opera 10 builds. Opera renders websites quicker and more features, Chrome has better application performance + some things I prefer about the interface and tab management.

If Firefox implemented tabs-on-top, I'd switch back to it from Chrome.
If that is all that is holding you back why not just put the tabs on top with a plugin or style.

He might mean tabs integrated directly into the titlebar. As far as I know, no firefox plug-in can do that.
