You can remove the battery and then just have the charger plugged into the laptop, which is what I do

For the cooling pad, another forum suggested purchasing a USB to AC Adapter, but also you can purchase cooling mats which contain special crystals which in turn absorb the heat from the laptop; here's the forum:

hello.
When im using my laptop is it adviseable to have it connected and charging all the time.?
I notice you said the laptop battery could be removed and use the mains electric,only problem i have with that is what happens if there is a power cut.?..will just kill the computer wouldnt it.?

The TJ Max (Thermal Junction) is 105'C, which is the highest temperature your CPU will run at, until it starts displaying warning messages and desperately trying to cool your CPU.

Install CoreTemp: Core Temp

This program will monitor your CPU's temperature and it's TJ.Max

What is a safe temparature for a computer processor etc.?
This program shows what temperature they are but it doesnt explain what are safe and unsafe temperatures.

The general consensus for maximum safe temperature that will not shorten the laptop processor's life is below 10 degrees Celsius of the rated TJ Max (to protect the cores which are made from silicon from burning up). That means if a Sandy Bridge laptop CPU has a TJ Max of 100 oC, 90 oC is the maximum sustained safe temperatures for that CPU. Ivy Bridge and Arrandale laptop CPUs have a higher TJ Max of 105 oC. For desktop CPUs, temp has to be below 20 oC from TJ Max so for a TJ Max of 95 oC, 75 oC is the maximum sustained safe temperature.

Yeah, thats the only problem, but I always create a System Restore beforehand

It's okay also I guess, if you not planning to do any work and just casual browsing of the Internet etc.
