Well yesterday I decided to install Windows 7, after some encouragement from a friend, and after looking at a bunch of youtube videos and website about windows 7. I did not want to install it on the main computer so I decided to do it on this old IBM Thinkpad T40, 1.5GB Ram, 1.5GHz Processor, 32 MB video card, and many more not so good specs. So I installed Windows 7, and the installation process went smoothly. All of the drivers except for sound(which I already had on my flash drive) installed automatically. I love the new look and the new superbar and its faster than my xp was.
However there was one problem. Unfortunately this laptop does not have an internal wireless card. So it uses a U.S Robotics wireless PC card to access the internet. I installed about 5 different programs, ran them all in compatibility mode, however the utility says that it cannot find the card. I was not able to find the correct driver in order to read the card. It is a U.S Robotics 100Mbps 802.11g Wireless Turbo PC Card USR5410.
