WLM contacts catagory will not load to an email

I just reformatted my laptop with windows 7 home premium ( same as before ) but now when I go to send an email using a catagory the catagory shows up when I type in the first letter in the "To" box but when I hit send there are no addresses, this happens when I am on line with WLM or off line, I have re instaled the contacts, deleted the catagory and set it up again...... and looked I think everywhere for solutions the catagory name shows in the "TO" box but there are no addresses .....can you help me please.

I keep trying to send a test email and put it in drafts as I dont want to send an unnessesary email to peole who wont understand the message, and found it will work two times out of ten times....I'm puzzeled.

Thank you roadrunner for this help, I may have to go to this but one of the points I wanted to do was not have to sign in to any online acc. I wanted to use my email off line to hot mail, or anyother. As i have stated I have loaded my addresse into WLM on my computer and sometimes it works,few times but some, the next day when I tried it again I got some of the names to load in the catagory but not many, I have loaded my addresses into WLM up there in cyberland and they do work also sometimes, most times my question still is how do I get it to work off line it used to before I reformatted my computer.

I have jioned one of the mail cliants and the catagory works with them and the strange thing is after i log off the off line gatagory wil work and sometimes it works without loging on, but this is still not all the time i need the catagory to work off line as i live in the country where there are places there is not connection to the net and writng an email to send later is what i want

If you don't sign-in to WLM or any other service, your settings/changes won't be remembered.

As you are not signed in automatically, all you need to do is sign-in everytime you use WLM then you will have full control of the settings you made.

OK thanks for the help but it all worked bfore i reformatted the computer have WLM changed things now?

WLM 2012 fixed a few bugs but no major changes.

It seems to work OK now but I have to go online, my off line will not work until I first go on line and then if I turn off th on line it will work may be it is in the settings somewhere that when the online starts it remembers.
