I'm not sure, but 650W seems not so much to SLI 2 GTS 450, especially if you're overclocking your CPU...

Have you considered to sell your GTS 450 and get a better single card (like a GTX 660 or GTX 650 Ti)? adding a second GTS 450 will increase graphics performance by 85-90%, but not all programs supports SLI and maybe they will use only a songle GTS 450 for graphics.

yes.. I consider replacing a new one. yet buying another gts450 would be cheaper in my case.

what do you mean by "not all programs support..."? is SLI only good for some apps/games? I thought it was utilized by the OS and automatically configures it for all the programs that would be ran.

some games and applications don't support multi-GPU tecnology and they won't use SLI features... But they will use only 1 GPU..

Dorado is correct. Better to sell the existing card and purchase a more powerful one card solution, less heat, less power draw, less stress on the power supply and a more reliable solution. My wife has a Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GV-N450OC-1GI GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card with a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817194078 Liberty power supply. She is not a gamer, except Scrabble, Bejeweled Blitz, Luxor etc. I remember calculating it all up (3 7200 rpm hard drives, DVD burner, video card, Athlon 4 core 630 cpu, 3 cooling fans) and decided on 720W for the PSU. After all it is the lady of the house!

Yes, it is.
The GTX 570 offers more performance, draw less power and is less noisy.

a single GTX 570 will perform 50-60% better than 2 GTS 450 in SLI.

And you won't need another more powerful power supply to run 2 cards.:)

2 GTS 450 draw 200-220 Watts, and since you are overclocking the CPU and the pc has got multiple hard drives and several other components, 650W could be not so much.

However, in your case a 650W PPU would be fine for the GTX 570 :)
