This is TOO funny. We're not old!
When I attend parties now-a-days, it's difficult to recognize people I haven't seen in years. I look around and see a bunch of old people, by my friends of yore are no where to be found - oh wait is that Brian over there.... man did he get old, where did all his hair go?

I was making fun of all of us "young at heart" here on the forum.

Everyone else has aged but we haven't. :shock:

My wife and I saw someone we hadn't seen on TV etc. for maybe 20 years the other day.
Words out of my mouth to my wife "Man did they get old".
As I said it I realized so did I.

When we lived in our first apartment, a short while after our daughters had gone to bed. A neighbor was having a party and after a while, it got loud. I yelled out the window "Hey, keep it down, we have children trying to sleep"
OMG - dad? That's when I realized I was "old" - I think i was 26, sheesh!

What's next "Hey kid, get off my lawn!"

But back to the thread topic.......... Remember "Court of the Crimson King" as well as I remember ANYTHING from back then. Their second (third, fourth...?) incarnation was pretty good too. With Adrian Belew, man.... the times I had listening to "Elephant Talk"!

Me too. Music actually said something back then I guess. I listen to a little of just about everything except Country, but find myself drifting back to the oldies more and more myself.

Nice nice nice... That album makes you travel to incredible places...

I love long songs... Normally, they explore different ambiences and I love that

I don't know that son but I'm starting listening to Emerson, L & L...

I'll keep that one on my bookmarks

I was quite into ELP at the time and The Nice - saw both of them live around 1970 or so. Was also quite into Van Der Graaf Generator and saw them live too. I still think the late 60's and early 70's saw a flowering of such different musical genres and styles with many good musicians involved. A great time for concert going.
