Solved Need network driver for HP g6-2250sa lap top using Windows 7 Home Prem

I have a HP g6-2250sa 960/6/750 Laptop, it came with Windows 8 64 bit but I didn't like it so I installed Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit on it. I completely took out windows 8 (deleted all partitions and created new ones). But now I have no network drivers so there for can not connect to any wired/wireless network. I have tried the drivers already available but it keeps saying they are not compatible. I checked the HP web site and there's only drivers for windows 8, nothing for windows 7 for my model.

Can anyone help? If I cant find drivers then I will have to revert back to windows 8 which I hate!!

Find out what network/wifi hardware you have and go to the vendors site. Not much help I know but......

I have the following network card:
Integrated 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet LAN, 802.11b/g/n

Thank you so much! The driver that you mentioned worked! Now I just need to update the drivers for other things such as PCI Device, not sure where to get that! thanks again

You're very welcome , Use the same link Software & Driver Downloads HP Pavilion g6-2250sa Notebook PC | HP® Support You will have to look through the drivers to see which support win7 It may be worth trying to load a win8 driver in compatibility mode not sure if this works as I have never tried

No I checked under graphic drivers (to fix the PCI driver missing problem) and all 3 of the available drivers are for windows 8 only, according to HP's web site. I dont have windows 8 on the laptop, I removed it completely. So will need something to work with windows 7.

melko, Did you try compatibility mode? I'm not sure if it works in reverse mode or not , You can be the Guinea pig
