I am facing this problem once in each 3-4 hrs.
Everything is getting frozen and display is going black
for 2-3 seconds.Then I am getting a message like:

Display driver stopped working for Windows Vista(R)
and recovered.

The point is that I am running Windows7 Professional
(32-bit).

A few minutes ago I got a blue screen.
Everything is running fine for now but that can happen again.
Please help me solve this problem.

These are some information which might be useful:

Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Display Memory: 782 MB

I am getting this error after formatting my PC a few days ago.
Thanks in advance.

dont be frustrated, it may happen with your software malfundtions.
it may happen sometime, but would not repeat in a sequence.
if there was a repeat tell to analyse the situation

Hi Manojit,

You may not be running the most optimal 'display driver' in the computer; you may try to update/re install 'graphics' if you encounter the issue again.

If you need more help in locating an 'apt driver', please share the 'graphics adapter(s)' installed in your computer. I will try to search for 'optimal drivers'.

Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions. I would be glad to assist.

It is happening again and again .I am getting that error once in
each 3-4 hrs.Meanwhile I have uninstalled and reinstalled
the driver from device manager. But that didn't solve the problem.

I don't think the processor, or a specific GPU has been mentioned. Those could be causing a problem if they are overclocked, or can't be handled by the PSU.

is it a pc or laptop?
use process explorer and check for any un wanted program running beside your os
download it from here:
Process Explorer

check for the fans (EPS CPU and GPU fan) and monitor your system temperature. you may use real temp
from here:
Real Temp - CPU temperature monitoring
run check disk error
you may restore your system to a previous setpoint

Where are you getting the drivers from ? Are you going directly to nvidia.com or amd.com ?

Card name: Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)
It's a built-in graphics card.

Another information is I also have an ATI Radeon HD 4350 which I was using
a few months ago.I was getting frequent BSoDs ,so I switched to the built-in
graphics card. Now I am getting errors from this card also.

Thanks again for help to everyone who has helped me.

after doing what the above person said....

This happened to me when i was overclocking my card, it was a sign i had to take it back a bit, i just wanted to put that outhere as it may help your issue even tho your not overclocking
