here are my pc's specs

hard disk:
hitachi 500gb sata3
western digital 80gb sata

ram:
gskill ripjaws 4gb dd3 with heatsink

processor:
amd trinity a10-5800k 4.2ghz fm2 black edition, stock heat sink and fan

motherboard:
gigabyte ga-f2a75m-d3h

video card:
sapphire hd 6670 1gb gddr5 128bit

2x 80mm fan, 1x 120mm fan

*it is running in dual graphics mode (amd radeon hd 7660d + 6670 dual graphics)

im currently using a GENERIC 600w psu..(i read from some articles that a generic psu can only handle 250w of power, dont know if its true :(.. I play games like bf3, skyrim, assassins creed3, black ops 2 and run it in high settings

judging from my specs and heavy gaming,do i need to buy a non-generic/branded psu like hec, huntkey etc? or continue using my generic psu?

I'd plug all that into this: eXtreme Power Supply Calculator

Also, I would go with a good PSU since you have some quality parts. a generic psu will get you by, but a good psu will have overvolt protection. Also note to make sure you get a power supply with at least 10% extra headroom so you aren't running at full capacity full time and since PSU's will degrade over time.

Stick with Corsair, Seasonic or Antec for the PSU. Also, make sure whatever you pick out is at least 80+ or better, ie 80+ Bronze, Silver, Gold. 550-600w will be more than plenty.

My build has a 750w PSU. At max (CPU-100% GPU-100%) my computer fluxuates between 400-420. Obviously 750 was an overkill.

I have three systems listed in the specs area. My main desktop and my secondary desktop that was my previous build. The last one (in all the sections) is my Lenovo laptop.

Thanks for your interest in my machines! :)
