Use this link (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/783-elevated-command-prompt.html) that Kaktussoft gave to open a elevated command prompt and copy and paste his first command into the command prompt and press enter then do the same for the second command he gave.

Just in case to copy and paste select the command by clicking at one end and draging to the other which should highlight it and after checking that the complete command has been selected right click and select copy then switch to the command prompt and right click paste.

Read what each command says after it completes and let Kaktussoft know.

Download attached cpermissions.bat and put in c:\windows\system32
Now open an elevated command prompt (explaned before). Now type

cpermissions

and press enter. What is output?

I have no idea what you said in your last post but you can attach pictures directly to your post the same way you attached the Word Doc.

Now to the problem. It appears to me that it is not a elevated command prompt,

NOTE: Notice how the elevated command prompt opens to C:\Windows\System32 and not C:\Users\(user name) as the default command prompt without administrator rights.

Did you follow any step from the tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/783-elevated-command-prompt.html.

There's four ways explaining how to do it and part from number 1 using a shortcut each way is only a two step process. Also read the tips in the yellow boxes at the top and bottom.

Once you have opened a elevated command prompt then run cpermissions (preferred) after reading post #26 again or if thats what you were saying in your last post then copy and paste the commands.

Make sure you copy and paste because I'm not sure if it's just off to the side but I could see 1 character missing from the command in your screenshot.

If you do this all correct then hopefully Kaktussoft will be able to help you further when he logs on.

In #29 I see access is denied. You should do it in a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/783-elevated-command-prompt.html so not a normal "command prompt"

Did you right click on cmd in screenshot and then clicked on "run as administrator"?

• You can "cmd" as normal user. So you have execute rights
• You can't run "cmd" with administrator command to run commands that needs administrator priviliges
• You can't change the owner of C:\ ... "access denied"

It looks like you can't elevate to administrative rights because the program that does it is not allowed to execute.

Can be fixed. Do you have a win7 installation DVD?
