I'm not too tech-savvy, but I have been experiencing some BSOD while playing the game path of exile. I have also had crashes (no BSOD, just a crash and I had to restart my PC) when playing other games aswell a few months ago (I dont play games very often).
When I am not playing games I am not experiencing any problems.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

  • Double click to open it.
  • Click this button only:
  • 2012-12-13_224441.jpg
  • If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.
And, as the system is crashing, better you stop overclocking, as mild as the overclock may be.

Let us know the results.

Ok, thank you for all help and information you have given me.
I will remove Daemon Tools from my system and see if there are new drivers for my sound card once I get home from work.

A friend of mine told me that Creative do not have updated drivers for my Soundblaster X-FI card. If that is the case, would I have to remove the sound card and uninstall all drivers used by it to solve the problem ?
