win7 registry cleaner?

I use Revo Uninstaller, but this is subjective...

I used CCleaner in XP but had some problems in Vista. Will try it in 7.

Me too, only after about a year or so after first installing though When it did a registry scan it frequently came back with 5000+ registry issues. I did go through with the result one day and oddly, it had deleted all of my admin tools
I made a restore point and registry backups just before doing it so all was good.

Seems to be working fine on 7 though.

I wouldn't use any of this registry cleaners at this moment, not until it's reliability is confirmed in Windows 7.
Revo is probably OK (so as Uninstall Tool, very good program, but it's not free), but I think that it would be smart to wait for release that will have official support for W7.

Now, about these registry cleaners... Opinions about them are very different. Some would say that, for example, TuneUP Utilities is excellent application for cleaning registry, some others would strongly disagree and claim that it could ruin your Windows (not talking about W7, but generally).

So, my advice is to wait a little, until new versions of this programs are released.

as for tune up, it really did **** up my earlier vista system and I couldn't boot!!

as of now, I didn't know which reg cleaner to use, so I installed 7 different programs and started a scan. the program that found the most problems is "Wise Registry Cleaner". where all the programs found about 600 problems, this one found more than 2000!!!!!!
but maybe these are not really problems to concern me...

Did TuneUp 2009 got an update so it can run with W7 or is it the old 8.0.2000 version?

So far I have used Auslogics, Vista manager, Win 7 manager, RecCure, and RegVac... have had NO Problems with any of the above mentioned.

CCleaner is good... Registry Shower 2007 is good too... very thorough...

I've used raxco perfectspeed on win7 rtm and it caused no problems; the guy actually said it ran better. But I'm not sure I'd use one on my sys unless i had no other choice. I don't really install/uninstall much tho
