The Win key appears like this: :orb: minus the colour, on the bottom left of your keyboard.

Thanks. That is a lot easier than other ways to get there.

Okay I didn't explain how to get to my picture below. (post #30) That was my short sightedness. I shouldn't of took so much for grant it.

Lets see if I can correct my self.
Right click on the Start Orb (low left corner of desktop) and then select Open Windows Explorer and you should see this with out the arrow I put on it.

What were the results of this?

Explorer is where your files live.

Go :orb:>Computer>C>User>your User name>Desktop to see if the file is there. If so it's somewhere on your desktop. If not back up to Users>Public Folder or Default to see if its there.

It may be that you have placed it in another User name account's Desktop. Check that also.

Please work back through the thread and reply to each step and you will have this resolved.

There is also a C:\Users\Public\Desktop folder.
As far as I know, by default anything in here will be displayed on your desktop, and can affect it.
Maybe some programs put icons in the Public desktop during the install ?
I don't use desktop icons...so anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

It became complicated because people used terms and talked about things I did not understand. I deal in real things, not nebulous terms. Here's an example of a guy in Oklahoma with a question about the OK state wide Public Safety radio system, a Motorola trunked system. I'll bet you wouldn't know what we were talking about unless someone explained it to you.

MY REPLY: You are seeing 48912 plus 3 status bits, used when two talkgroups are patched together.
There may be a setting in your scanner to turn Status Bits OFF so you will only see the basic talk group number.

This isn't a forum devoted to scanners and trunking. But if I did need help in that area, I would expect that in the nature of asking for help about something I do not know the answer, there may be what my confused mind might register as being 'nebulous terms' even though they are no less real items than something like for example, your missing TEST folder.
