Thanks guys, i have tried the RAM in slots 1 and 3 (channel 0) and 2 and 4 (channel 1) and still nothing.
Re voltage, timing etc thats a bit above my PC experience so ill be taking the RAM and PC to a local expert tomorrow i think.

That is most likely your best bet if you don't feel confident messing around in the bios.
Normally if Ram is not playing ball, the first place to look (for me anyway) would be the bios settings for the Ram, I bet it just needs the correct settings put in.

Totally agree. Any legitimate repair facility should work with the customer until the problem is solved. Assuming they do take the computer back in for follow-up repair, when they tell you it's fixed, bring your games with you to the shop. Reload them and make sure the computer is really fixed.
