BSOD when saving files? Win7 home premium 64bit

The only correlation I've been able to make is when saving files using GIMP (files located on non-system drive) BSOD occurs after clicking export button to save file as jpeg.

Follow this:

If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:

• SSD firmware
• BIOS Version
• Chipset Drivers
• Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
• If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

• Use the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to determine which file is causing the issue, and then replace the file. Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

• Keep less stuff at the start-up. Only anti-virus, this helps avoid driver conflicts and improves time to log in to windows.

I had another yesterday after some of the updates. Should I post another dump log? Also, what does the "BSOD BUGCHECK SUMMARY" indicate? Did this come from what I had posted?

The bugcheck summery says that all the recent crashes are caused my Marvell SATA/SCSI drivers; which are very old, of August, 2010.

You use the Marvell drivers for the Kingston SSD, which is your D drive. Is it right?
First, update the firmware of the ssd from Kingston.
Then, uninstall Marvell in Control Panel > Programs and Features. Marvell is poorly coded and often fails, even if the drivers are up to date.

Start Menu\Programs\Marvell 
Start Menu\Programs\Marvell\91xx driver

After uninstalling, follow this method to clean up the leftovers:

• Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling

Do some more things.

1. Update JMicron JMB36X Controller, as it is of Aug 2010, too. Get it from Driver
2. Download and install this particular version of Intel Rapid Storage Driver:
   • Version: 11.2.0.100
   • Date: 06/07/2012
3. Update the firmware of M4-CT256M4SSD2 SSD from Crucial.com Product Downloads - Firmware Updates

at the Jmicron link there are multiple driver categories, should I be looking in the SATA directory?

also, updated the crucial firmware yesterday, and a search on kingston said that ssd has no firmware updates

From JMicron, take the last one, sata controllers.
If the firmware are upto date already, let them unaffected. From the data we cannot check this part unfortunately.

I hope after uninstalling Marvell properly there will not be a similar problem any more.

Yes, it is correct. But that is the only stable version lately.

As your AHCI is controlled by iAstor.sys, you need to update the driver, and it is the only one that is safe. Dont worry, go and get it. If there is anything wrong in it, I wouldnot have suggested it to you.
