Anybody uses BitDefender Antivirus?

Hey guys. I was with NOD32 for 4 years now and I want to tryout BitDefender. I've read multiple tests and a lot of them shows BitDefender in the top 3. Anybody has any experience with BitDefender? Any tips or tricks with it?

I think NOD32 is better than Bit Defender in terms of pro-active protection.

The thing is with NOD32, is that it has soooooo much false positive it's annoying.

Virus deection is very good but... like the others said, is it pro-active enough?

I have installed the trial version... so far, it's doing his own little thing. No problems during install or anything.

have used bdis 2013, Almost two(2) yr. , have no problems at all.

It is very pro active, ie it steers you away from suspect web sites, monitors for malware etc etc. It also updates silently.

I have only had 1 false positive which I found the work round for via their forum.

I would recommend it to anyone.

I like them both but I would go with Bitdefender, hasn't steered me wrong yet and I have been using it for about 5 years. It's also lite on resources.

Been using BitDefender Internet Security for more than two years now, not a hitch. Highly recommended. But, do keep in mind, the "best" protection for you, depends on your habits, not ours. What works great for one person, with one set of habits, may be awful or someone else.

after using most of the other av/malware programs over the last 20years I am now converted to bitdefender.
it has loads of useful additions to look after your pc including a rescue mode ie reboots using an Ubuntu scanner(version dependant).

download the trial version BD total security and try it out. as has been said it is very low on resources and even has an auto pilot mode. no scheduled scans need to be configure its as it says automatic or if you wish you can set it up to how you want it.
I am currently 2014 beta and I am so far impressed.
