James agreed. At 3 PM when they finally met James asked Charlie the reason for the delay. "Oh, my wife was murdered earlier today. The constable told me I had to wait the detective superintendent to question me. He was expected to arrive at 2.15; I figured it would be over in 15 minutes and then half an hour drive here."

"Oh I see. Anyway, good that you could come. Perhaps a whisky before we start?"

i suspect the cheeky chapie who got out his car was set to give the cameraman a slap but when he realized he was on camera decided to behave.
either that or its because he was a lilly livered southerner.

No Britton, I did not mean it like that. I am a patriotic Finn and proud of it, I find patriotism is a positive thing.

With exaggerated I meant that usually Americans or USA as a nation do not allow any critics regarding the topics this character Jeff Daniels is playing was talking about, especially coming from a foreigner. As far as I know and have experienced, we (I mean globally: we as inhabitants of the planet Earth) are not allowed to question America's superiority in any field.

I was just explaining why I decided not to post that clip.

Kari, I mostly agree with the statements made by the character there. The last part of it, when he quits yelling and cussing points out that we humans should care more for each other. Most, most, every country can be the greatest in the world. Their leaders however not so much, but that is a discussion for another place.

Yes, I agree. Let's forget this. Please take my comments as an explanation of why I did not post that clip and nothing else: as a foreigner for you Americans I felt I simply cannot post the clip in question. When it was posted by an American, I felt I wanted to explain this.

I am a member of Finland America Friendship Society which is a member organization of The League of Finnish American Societies (SAYL). I have visited your country quite a many times, seen west, east, south and north, the diversity of it. I have some really good friends there, both IRL and virtual. I fully accept your right to feel about your country as I feel about my country, as well as the fact that neither of us is better than the other because of nationality. I am politically a liberal and an Obama fan, I do not know enough to present anything else than subjective personal opinion. That opinion happens to be quite positive.

Yeah, I posted it because truth is truth. It wouldn't be a great country if we didn't realize what was wrong with it and try to fix it. The US is far from perfect. The ideals it was founded on are very good, how far we stray from that, and who we entrust to protect them is important. I know politics are verboten here, so I'll just say I thought it was a great scene, and I also understand what you said Kari
