Need driver for Windows 7 professional 32-bit for Hp Pavilion dv6330ea

Hi,

Model No- HP Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook PC. Refer to the link HP Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook PC | HP® Support

I am planning to upgrade my system from Vista Home Premium 32-bit to Windows 7 Professional 32-bit.

As soon I install windows 7 professional,
q1] can i connect to the internet and download all the updates laid by windows update

OR

do need to install first all the hp drivers and software and then download updates from windows update?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q2] Please let me know step by step which one to install first. like 1] quick launch button, 2] nvidia, etc

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Forget to mention last month i had the problem in power cable in my laptop so i have removed it But my quickplay button "power cable" were working fine so i had replaced this cable with laptop power cable. At present i dont have power cable for my quick play buttons. i will buy power cable for quick play button later because it is very difficult to get in India for hp notebook and little bit expensive.

q3] Will there will be any problem if i install windows 7 because of this?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q4] i need latest version of Intel Chipset drivers for windows 7 32-bit for my Hp Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook Pcs

OR

q5] Can I download Intel Driver Update Utility and let it scan our system and it will show up-to-date driver.
Can I install in this way? will it will work ?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q6] i need latest version of Intel Graphic Drivers - Intel 950 for windows 7 32-bit for my Hp Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook Pcs

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q7] i need latest version of NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 for windows 7 32-bit for my Hp Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook Pcs

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q8] if i revert back my system to vista with HP vista recovery disk then will my recovery manager will work? because as intel mentioned that "To avoid any potential installation incompatibilities on your OEM system, Intel recommends that you check with your OEM and use the software provided by your system manufacturer. "

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q9] i need latest version of Audio Drivers for windows 7 32-bit for my Hp Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook Pcs
How do i check weather i have Conexant HD Audio or Realtek HD Audio?
Please provide steps how to find it?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q10] i need latest version of Modem Drivers for windows 7 32-bit for my Hp Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook Pcs
How do i check weather i have Conexant Modem or Motorola SM56 Modem
Please provide steps how to find it?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q11] i need latest version of Wireless Drivers for windows 7 32-bit for my Hp Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook Pcs

Please provide steps how to find it?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q13] i need latest version of Card Reader Drivers for windows 7 32-bit for my Hp Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook Pcs
i have 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader for Secure Digital cards, MultiMedia cards, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, or xD Picture cards, How do i check weather i have Ricoh 5-1 Card Reader Driver
Please provide steps how to find the card reader is of ricoh 5-1?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q14] i need latest version of Webcam Drivers for windows 7 32-bit for my Hp Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook Pcs
i have webcam in my system and checked in device manager it says imaging devices --> USB 2.0 Camera, manufacturer - microsoft
Please provide steps how to find it?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In nvidia website it is mention something similar to this... if you have OEM system then please update from your manufacturer's website and use the software provided by your system manufacturer.

q15] Will there will be potential installation incompatibilities on the OEM system?

Because if i revert back my system to vista (due to some reasons faced problems in windows 7) with HP vista recovery disk then will my recovery manager will work?

q16] Will be system will work and recovery manager stored in HDD will be corrupted because of this? and it will violate the warranty or HP licence? Warranty is not the issue because it has passed away.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Even for the BIOS it has mentioned in HP that Only install BIOS updates from HP. Do not install BIOS updates from the motherboard manufacturer's Web site. Doing so might prevent the computer from accepting an HP System Recovery.

q17] Do i need to update any BIOS after installing windows 7?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to find latest drivers for windows 7 32-bit for my model i.e HP Pavilion dv6330ea Notebook PC?
q18] do you know any website for windows 7 32-bit drivers which are genuine and free from spyware, adware, virus, etc?

q19] do you any software free full version which will scan the system and will inform all the outdated version of drivers and software installed in the system.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
q20] i have hp vista recovery disk, if incase any problem occur after installing windows 7 then can i revert back to vista?

q21] if i revert back and install vista then will my recovery manager will work?

I am not going to delete recovery manager from the hdd, but i will do clean install of windows 7, if incase i might need if i want to revert back. So what is your opinion on this,
q22] shall i delete the recovery manager also or keep it?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
please reply as soon as possible if you can, so that i can proceed with installation and update tonight.

Bye,

Hi,

Rather than answer all those questions , please use the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor
which will inform you if upgrade is possible and any issues that may arise upgrading:

:ar: Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Download - Microsoft Windows

Here are the minimum system requirements also for Win 7:

:ar: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows7/products/system-requirements

Program compatibility guide:

:ar: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/help/compatibility

Cheers and Good luck.

Then once you have installed Windows 7, if you experience any issues then
we will be able to help.

I wouldnt worry too much about the drivers, Win 7 should take care of the majority
of them and allow installation, you may just need a few 3rd party drivers after install.

Windows will install generic drivers for the most part, to enable the system to run.
According to HP your model does well under Win 7, but no official drivers are available
for Win 7 as yet...see :ar: here

There is a HP guide for upgrading:
:ar: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-e-g-Windows-8-and-Software/Windows-7-Upgrade-Guide-for-dv6000-dv9000-models/m-p/179956

Personally, I would keep the recovery and backup everything so if anything goes wrong you can recover back to Vista and I would go ahead and install Win 7 and see what issues you have.

Cheers

Dave

The link ...see :ar: here which you have provided is not related with my problem. It was all about upgrading ram.

There are no Official Win 7 drivers for your model at present

And the link I pointed out was so you could see the following:

dv6000 models are working well under Windows 7, but they they haven't got
official support / drivers for this system from HP.

Basically, that was a custom built laptop for Vista OS at the time, I have one in that scenario and won't upgrade it to 7 either.

I looked over the specs, and it's same as mine, max 2gigs of RAM, and same CPU speed.

I would buy a new laptop or stay with Vista.

I've personally done something very similar -- upgraded a PC to and OS version that the PC vendor did not directly support -- and I can tell you, it was NOT an "overnight" activity! I spend close to 100 hours using hardware ID numbers, searching the Net for drivers. I was eventually able to find all the drivers I needed -- but it took a lot of work.

Like yours, mine was a laptop, so generic drivers from MS only got me part way. If you're not willing to invest a LOT of personal time hunting for drivers, making backups, testing different drivers, (etc), then it's best that you do NOT start down this road.

FIRST thing you should do, if you are intending to pursue this, is install an image backup/restore app (I personally recommend Macrium Reflect, but others will recommend others) and make an image backup of your current setup to an external drive. That will give you a fallback in case you end up NOT being able to make the laptop work after the upgrade in that you will then be able to get the current state restored.

Among places you should consider searching are the Microsoft Update Catalog -- it often has drivers for older equipment.

Good Luck -- you'll need it!
