Is it possible to install Windows 7 on a Windows 8 computer?

This is the error I get while installing in windows 8

When installing from the desktop of Windows 8 x64 UEFI mode.
If the BIOS is not set to suit Windows 7 x64 UEFI mode, on first reboot, you receive a Secure Boot Violation.

well it loaded further this time now it is stuck at the windows loading screen where it says starting windows. the logo is flashing so ill give it time to load, however the flash drive light is not flashing so I don't thing the computer is accessing any information it may be stuck.

I got stuck there installing with the disc.It sat there for 20 hours.Hope it goes differently for you.

I understand what you are saying but I have done everything in the bios I know how to do and I have posted several images of the process and would greatly appreciate knowing where or what I need to change to make the computer boot properly. Should I try to interupt the initial reboot hiting F2 and try to select the UEFI-USB or what do you suggest?

How do we make it compatible to UEFI? Any solutions?

He can boot into WIn8 so we know from that he's in UEFI. The stick is not proceeding further with the install but stalling while loading. Wouldn't that be the write or ISO?

Unique Win8 win7 dual boot, is it possible? - Page 5

I'm currently trying to instal Win7 in EFI mode. I've disabled Secure boot, enabled CSM. When I enable CSM, Fast Boot will disable automatically and under CSM I have another option 'Launch PXE OpRom' which I'm not sure what to do with. I left it Disabled for now. Then when I'm trying to install Win7, I restart the computer, start hitting Esc, which gets me to the One-time Boot menu but when I choose [EFI] <the name of the drive where Win7 EFI bootable DVD is> it boots to Windows 8 anyways.

EDIT: It's solved. I just didn't 'press any key to continue..' fast enough. Sorry for the lame mistake!

I always work with Digital River or TechNet downloads. Are these sufficient in your view?

You mean with a DVD instead of flash stick?

I think if I were the OP I'd borrow a DVD drive. However if it's a USB DVD drive, will it easily show up under UEFI boot?

My USB-DVD boots fine in a USB2 port in UEFI mode.

I have a desktop and a laptop if a network installation is possible. The desktop is 32bit windows 7 thought. Both laptop are 64bit. I have never done a network install would you guys advise it?
