As a previous MSI owner and given that I gave that set up to my DAD there should be more then that Disclaimer my MSI 990FX GD-80 blew up in my case it was water cooled and Oc'ed to 4.5 GHZ and the Mosfets blew up so yes they should put more then that on the box Military components my Arse Military Sh*t don't blow up they blow up things so with that being said MSI won't see my Business anytime soon not even there graphic cards they look cool and all but after all that and RMA and the same board I have people are just limited MSI just FKD everyone pretty much and that is putting it nicely

There Bios is Nerfed as well your V-core will be stuck at 1.44 also if you try to use a older bios you will brick the board again good luck with that

Here is my Windows 7 WEI. Lowest score is from my OCZ Agility 4 128 GB SSD And just for laughs this is the same computer running Windows 8 through Virtualbox. The lowest score there is 6.3 for the mechanical HDD that the Virtual Machine is stored on.

Welcome to the forums McRuff, Nice scores, I am however surprised the Agility 4 does not score 7.9, I think it should.
Even an old Sata 2 SSD I owned once scored 7.7.

I thought it would do better as well. It is attached to a Sata3 port and is in AHCI mode. But that is as good as it gets

I thought it was alright considering it is on a virtual Machine. I don't like Windows 8 enough to even dual boot to it. I am thinking of putting a couple of games onto it just to see how well they run.

I happened upon that screen with that description of the mobo just the other day too, and was not pleased, I had a this mobo blow out on me and replaced, but that was over a year ago, and no I am not OC'n a thing. [All I can say is DAMN my LUCK sux]

SSD wise, It was 7.5, I lost .2 and raised it back .1 doing a contiguous free space maneuver instead of a defrag and yeah it's on a 6.0 SATA.

Any other ideas welcomed, I am using Soluto and getting around 50 secs for total boot and ready to use times.

There is no contiguous free space on a SSD? I'd skip any defrag functions at all, and no defragging of course. I have Auslogic pro from a giveaway, and it offered to do some SSD "optimization". I turned it off, and only use it on my data drive. I don't trust the defrag makers as far as SSD's go. They see that as a major threat, and just want to get in on it. A Guy

Very nice scores there LocjyMacleod, and welcome to SF.

I was in my BIOS earlier this evening and I decided to bump my CPU multiplier up from 18x to 20x, giving me a nice round 4.0GHz. Honestly wasn't expecting much difference, but my CPU WEI score went from 7.4 to 7.5, RAM stayed at 7.5, and both graphics scores went from 7.3 to 7.4.



Perhaps I should OC my GTX275 a fraction just to get a nice round 7.5 on that too. Hehe... But honestly, I really need to get a nice big SSD sometime. With the way prices are going, by the time I finally do, they'll be dirt cheap. Lol.
