Can i use ultraiso to add sp1 and maybe pre-activate my windows 7 Dvd?

i used imgburn to create an image of my original windows 7 dvd

i would like to add the sp1 it's an exe 500mb i guess

i don'w know if i can pre-activate my dvd , so in case of fresh install , i connected to the net , i put the dvd and i can install my w7 easly

i would add the sp1 downloaded from microsoft , so i can run it after the installation

can i do it?
and can i do it with ultraiso ?

i found some guides but in these guides there is only power iso (poweriso ) can do it

Why not just download the iso of Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 already included ?

You have to activate windows after it`s installed.

you can't have a pre activated windows cd unless it's an illegitimate copy/version. it has to be done manually.

no. you have to type that as well. sorry. you CAN write it on the cd with a marker and don't have to remember it?

If you use the disc for personal use and not install the disc in your entire neighborhood he should be fine .

Enterprises do that to their deployments . You could add the key but manually activate it .

No enterprise I know off uses Enterprise version they all use Pro .

This is also true for ENTERPRISE VL versions (Volume license) too.

What might be better is to create some type of PE environment such as using the WIM image with the serial number already provided. This type of approach is used in companies for deploying corporate versions of windows. I'm not sure how to do this but Google for it or just ask in the forums --I'm sure there are people here who maintain systems for companies and have to do this type of stuff -- they won't go round doing a separate full windows install on every machine the company has.

Where did you get WIn7 Ultimate? How is it presently activated?

The best you can do now without SP2 planned yet is Update 7 installation media using the official WIn7 installer w/SP1 ISO for your licensed version. It saves at least an hour's updating during setup but takes about an hour to do the slipstream. So it's mainly beneficial to those who install a lot.

You could try making a custom disk that will do an unattended install using an auto answer file. It can be a lot of work though. MSFN's Unattended Windows : Unattended Windows Introduction
I've explored this option once or twice but always get lost in the instructions.

Then when you boot the dvd all editions will be revealed.

You could also create a custom disc using Welcome to RT Se7en Lite - Slipstream Service Pack,Integrate Updates,Integrate Drivers,Integrate LP,Remove Components,Enable or Disable features,Unattended Setup,Apply Tweaks,Add Icons,Wallpapers,Themes,Bootable USB or DVD. I think the software is free, if not I apologize for posting it. I haven't done this with 7, but I did it using nlite for Windows XP. It did not immediately activate the software, but does allow you to prefill the serial number, plus you can add in all the updates you want to minimize the time updating after the install.

I couldn't make RT Se7en Lite create a working W7 SP1 DVD.
It failed during the "Preparing your Desktop" stage of the installation.

The only way I know of to get official ISO images directly from Microsoft is though a TechNet or MSDN subscription. They are not free. Its to bad to as it would save a lot of people the hassle of trying to find unaltered images to do clean installs with.
