i have an amd phenom II x4 965 black edition. my ram is stock clocked at DDR3 1600. i've discovered from a previous thread that my cpu can't handle ram speeds over 1333 and the main credit to this is here. i know it cant handle it because it periodically BSOD's. the original thread i figured this issue out is here.
so what i've had to do with my old motherboard and with my new motherboard is just lower the ram speeds to 1333 in the bios. no big deal. however, what i seem to be finding is that typically, when one overclocks a cpu, you usually overclock the ram as well? i may be wrong.
my question is, can my ram be overclocked if i overclock the cpu? or will it have to stay at 1333?
