Hi again ... I would check the Asus website to see if they have a update version of the Driver .... Some years ago i had the same problem too ... And the same Manufacture as you ... Could never find a proper solution for it though ... I did think then and still do that the IRST software was to blame ... But do not Uninstall that as it will cause all sorts of problems .. In the end my Drive failed .. I am sorry wish i had a better solution .. Not much of a help eh

I would be most curious to know what the heck is doing an Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver for a dvd drive.
That's stuff supposed to run hard drives. DVD drives always run with the standard microsoft driver since XP days.

Try rolling back the DVD driver from its panel in Device Manager (Driver tab, third button from the top).

I uninstalled drivers even brute-force (deleting stuff from system) and there was no issue with that Intel blah blah thing nor slowdowns.

Anyway, drugo did you try what I asked?

i tried to uninstall drivers but at the reboot it load the same drivers

The error you are getting points at it not being able to load the cdrom.sys driver at boot.

or is rolling back (driver->ripristina?) if it this , i can not do it , it's gray , not selectable
yes, it's that.

I would try uninstalling the intel rapid storage technology, as that would remove the other driver.

Good idea. :geek:

That guy was connecting a IDE device through a IDE-to-SATA adapter and then connected to a SATA port on his motherboard.
He solved by connecting the SATA cable in another port on the motherboard.

If you did the same (used a IDE-to-SATA adapter) then you can try too. Otherwise it's not the same problem.

Why is your dvd burner listed as a SCSI device? It should be listed as a SATA device. I would look at the BIOS settings.

I have the same dvd burner, it is shown as a SATA devise and it runs perfect.

What mobo do you have?

With my BIOS I would look under "System">"ATA Port Information"

You want the on board eSATA controller set as "Enable" and the controller set to "IDE Mode" or "AHCI Mode"

Look under "Peripherals" for additional SATA setup parameters.
