Video thumbnails not showing (NicoNicoDouga: Japanese site)

I use Opera, and reloading the page gets all thumbs each time. Your friends laptop showed the problem on your connection? If so, do they get the same result on their own connection?

A Guy
Yes, it was the same connection that I used and it showed the same result.

Hmm, today all the thumbs aren't loading in IE9 either.
Ctrl+F5 shows them all.
Hmm, I was wondering if this has to do with the way the way it refreshes?

Because when you refresh via pressing F5, the thumbs would not load however when you refresh via address bar or Ctrl+F5, it will show all the thumbs.
The thumbs will also show when you open on a new window or a tab.

Hmm, really I don't know what's causing it. Seems like your right about cookie handling though...

Okay, I just want to update that it's getting worse...

It seems like the thumbnails doesn't show more than 50% of the time when I refresh the page.
It doesn't matter how I refresh it (ie. pressing F5, CTRL+F5 or address bar) the thumbnails won't properly show.

Sigh this is getting really annoying and I'd hope to get some more solutions to try it out.

I think it is your ISP somehow. Beyond trying your PC at a friends house, and/or visa versa, I don't know how to test that. You might try one of the free VPN's to see what effect it has. Not used them myself.

Alright it seems like it happens to any other ISPs:
- I've tried using my friends who uses different ISPs and it showed the same symptom (tried three different ISPs)
- I also tried using public university internet (fiber) and despite the super fast speed it still showed the same problem

So... yeah. I don't know what to say really.

Try this bat file in Dwarf's post, it will cause no harm in any case.

Thank you. I've just tried it however, the result was same as ever.

Also, just a off-topic but after applying that bat file it wiped out my static IP so I had to set it again. I'm not sure if any other settings have been reset to default but if there is any "important" settings that I need to configure again, please tell me.

It resets your HOSTS file, releases and renews your ip address, flushes your dns, and resets your winsock. Since you have a static ip, that will be the only setting to redo. it is unusual to have a static ip. A Guy
