Hi,

I currently have a 19 inch monitor of 1360x768 resolution. Maxing out all games(AA x2 or off) with my sapphire 7770 1 gb.

So have saved some 200$. Should i get one 21 inch 1080p monitor or get two 19 inch and set up eyefinity(portrait mode). Can the graphic card handle it? Please share your opinions. Thanks in advance.

It will handle it but your games won't be maxed out they will be on high settings or medium more resolution the more GPU is needed but I would think you should be ok and won't notice much of a severe dip in FPS

What resolution can i play in high settings. Medium graphic kinda sucks:) In portrait mode the max resolution can be 768x3(2304) and 1360x3(4080). Is this the right way to calculate it..?

What resolution can i play in high settings. Medium graphic kinda sucks:)

Honestly? Your current single screen.

Two monitor gaming is also terrible. Both Portrait and landscape. (I've tried and it just sucks. Plain and simple. For FPS, the crosshair is split across the bezels and makes aiming virtually impossible. 3rd person your character is split across the bezels. Racing, is a little better but again the bezel in the center is flatout annoying. Same for RTS etc.)

Evin if you did go ahead, one of the biggest things holding you back is the 1GB. But as mentioned, you will have to drop image settings to keep games playable as well.

Either use three screens for eyefinity and lower settings or grab the biggest single monitor/TV you can afford.

I'd go for the 21" 1080P screen if that's what you can afford.

I'd go for best monitor in your region with that $, your current resolution is subpar, but you knew that.

Be sure to get 5ms response time or lower on the new monitor, for $200 here, I'd be getting a 23" 1920 by 1080 native res. LED monitor.

Oops sorry i should've been more clear. I meant i can buy two more 19 inch monitors. That makes 3 for eyefinity. As i understand 1 gb is not enough for eyefinity. Even if play in 1080p resolution?
I thought 3 monitors portrait is bigger and better than a single 21 inch 1080p screen. Isnt it?

Ok sorry had to correct this @Bala you should be good to go I did a comparison so maybe eyefinity will work for you on that res ,as it seems that card is almost to 7850 standards http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/777?vs=776 7770 vs 7790

and 7790 vs 7850 http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/778?vs=776 Overclocking your card could see the potential of the 7850 ;) So you should be able to go for it but on med high res Better to go with the 21 inch monitor your FPS will be great and you can probably max it out

Have you considered adding a second 7770 and using CrossFire? Big jump in FPS.

I've tried multiple monitors and my preference is a single large 27-30" monitor. YMMV.
