Hi Everyone
Apologies for first post being a cry for help, I have just bought a New Samsung Series 7 Gamer and am having a lot of BSOD 4 so far today, my desktops have never given me a problem but this is my first laptop, is possible for someone to help me fix these problems?, I have attached a rar file with the mini dumps in it and would greatly appreciate any advice you could give.
Thanks
Mark

Hi
I would sooner fix it as I got this £1400 laptop from Tesco for well under £500 ( mispriced I think), so would rather keep it lol, I don't get many bargains.
Thanks

Kaspersky is a frequent cause of BSOD's. Please remove it.

Replace with Microsoft Security Essentials & the Free version of Malwarebytes, update and make full scans separately:

Reduce items at start up:
Your Antivirus software is basically whats just needed there.

Use the System File Checker tool and Run Disk Check:

Be careful before you test your RAM as this could void your warranty. If that;s the case, I would advise what Pebbly has, take it to the vendor.

How did you uninstall Norton Antivirus before installing kaspersky? Did you uninstall it just from Control Panel, or using the norton removal tool? I believe your problems are still related to some hardware part of the laptop. Your other dump from 2nd August shows, kaspersky contributing to the BSOD's. Please uninstall it either with Revo Uninstaller Free, or its removal tool linked in the previous page.

The recent dump says:
Probably caused by : hardware ( iaStor+21a67 )

Get rid of intel rapid storage.
  • First uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Then Uninstall the driver from device manager.
  • Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
  • It will open the "computer management" window.
  • Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
  • Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
  • Select one Intel device item under it, right click, uninstall.
  • Continue the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
  • Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.

Then, please perform RAM test:

Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+:

   Tip
  • :info: Pay close attention to part 3 of the tutorial "If you have errors"
  • :tip: Test the RAM with Memtest86+ for at least 7-10 passes. It may take up to 22 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold.

Hi Koolkat77
Thanks again, the norton i removed with control panel, is there somthing else that needs removing that may be left behind?, I will uninstall kasperskey and the intel drivers tonight when i gat home. I used the windows memory checker but will run memtest tonight as well, will windows firewall and defender be enough for my machine? I see a lot of threads that dont rate it.
Thanks again

Morning Koolkat77
Well I removed Kaspersky as directed in safe mode with its remover and have MSE on, ran mem test for 21 hours 13 passes with no errors and I've just had a d1 error and an A last night. Starting to get annoyed now lol, it doesn't blue screen when I game for a few hours only seems to when I surf or leave the laptop idle, I've attached new logs again If you don't mind having a look.
Thanks
Mark
