It would work fine if you aren't using a bunch of pci express cards. But......it's gotten quite a few negative reviews on Newegg, which is a concern. For a dual rad setup, I'm really liking the Thermaltake 2.0 Extreme. It's usually on sale, and its 38mm thick, rather than 27mm thick like the Corsair H100/100i. I truly believe the 38mm thickness is optimum and will beat any thinner rad when using the same fans. I like to think of a 27mm rad as a 2-core automotive radiator, a 38mm would be a 3-core rad and 49/50mm would be a 4 core rad. I've found that unless you are running an extremely high performance race car(either a drag car or stock car) running a 4 core radiator will actually not cool as well as a good 3-core. It's all about efficiency. That's my opinion on it anyway.

I've seen the Z87 Gryphon for sale on Newegg for $169(regular price) and the thermal armor is free! That's a hell of a deal.

I have decided that I will stick with a single gpu and have considered the thermaltake but am waiting on Brian to post on how his worked out.

I'm going ASUS on the MB and still wavering on the cooler, I think it will be the H100i but haven't verified it will fit in my case. I have the right fan slots up top but still need to check the clearance down towards the board. I want a sabertooth but am considering this MB ASUS P8Z77-M PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Newegg.com as it's a little less expensive. What do you think of that MB?

Ere ya go mate H80 / H80i / H90 / H100 / H100i / H110 Case Compatibility Thread (Page 1 for full listings) This list shows all case's the H series coolers are compatible with aswell as links to the mod's needed if it doesn't fit.

I won't say that the Corsair Hydro's are better than any other closed loop solution because i don't know that but i can vouch for how good they are. So far i've had a a H50, H100 and H100i in that order with each step being better than the last.
Aslong as you have decent airflow in your case around the socket, VRM's and use decent fan's you'll be good to go. The max core temp i've seen from a bench run is 55c when i was just running the 2 Cougar's as push/intake and that was with plenty of juice being chucked through my chip.
Now i'm running push/pull intake and the max core temp i've seen so far is 46c with my cpu @ 4.5Ghz, 1.44v. This temp is at a lower oc though as i'm waiting to sort my psu issue but it was one of the warmer day's we've had.
There are countless thread's on Corsair's forums about the problem's with the H series but i've not had any major problems with an of them. The H100's fan controller got a bit noisey after a year but Corsair paid for my shipping to and from the Netherlands when i had to rma it. From the time UPS picked it up to when the replacement was delivered too a massive 4-5 days It was quicker than rma'ing to the retailer in the uk and they upgraded me to the H100i.
I can't fault the hydro's and if this one broke i'd buy another without a doubt

i had a link to a thread on oc3d in which a shed load of fan's were compared with eachother but i can't find it

The fans on that cooler spin up between 1200 and 2000rpm so i would think they're quite loud chap. I maybe wrong though.

I just got this 620 so taking it back and throwing 50 more dollars on a higher quality one should do it for me also i have Sythe mugen slipstream fans one failed and the other still strong those fans Blow

There are just sooo many out there to choose from, The SP120's were getting good reviews when used on a rad too and they're really cheap but it all depends on your setup. I tried using a filter when i swapped my H100i to intake but the level of noise increased loads. So that went straight out the window.
The stock AF140L's in my case move a massive amount of air and the proper AF140's are supposed to be better but they're no good for rad's. I had planned on swapping out my Cougar's for SP120's just because of the color but as my temps are so good i'm sticking with them
I think fan's and psu's are the hardest to shop for due to the amount of choice, thats been the case for me anyway.

I have SP 120 fans now on my loop but the CFM is like 63 and the loop fans are 83.85 I would opt for more air flow then noise level more air more love

besides the other Rad is thicker and has better heat distribution capabilities

I can't be doing with noisey fan's it drives me nuts, like my gpu's for instance saying that though you lot would probably say they're not loud compared to older gen cards. I was lucky not to have a pc back then lol

On rads, it is not how many CFM a fan puts out, it's how much pressure it builds up. It takes pressure to push the air through the rad. A lower CFM fan with higher static pressure will do better. I know on OCN one of the more popular fans there is the Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-15, they spin at 1850 RPMs but only put out 58CFM, but supposedly have high static pressure.

I used a Cougar Vortex as an exhaust in my Carbide 500r and did a pretty poor job of it. So i wouldn't recomend them as case fans.

Dude, did I miss this post? Personally, I'd pay the extra money for the Sabertooth. The Sabertooth, you know is a great board. The Z77-M Pro has almost as many 1 and 2 star ratings as 4 and 5 star ratings. Not good. Personally, I wouldn't go there. And Newegg has gotten real hard on their motherboard returns. I buy all my boards from Amazon. They have the best customer service there is, no questions asked. Plus, they pay for shipping both ways if it has to be returned.
