Well, truthfully, I've found around here it's easier to teach an old dog new tricks than the young dogs. The young ones already know everything, us old dogs have been around long enough to know we don't know anything much. I've found - the more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

I do understand the benefits

To those who have a SSD, no explanation is needed. To those who don't, no explanation is adequate. :sarc:

Trust me, I understand it makes everything faster. I was just using startup time as an example.
I get the benefits. I want everything on one drive. This is what I want. If you do not understand that, fine. But there is no need to push more about it. This is what I want, and what I choose.

Also, the main reason I do not like data separate is I don't want to have to remember where I put certain files. I don't need to say, Oh that's on drive d, oh this is on c. I want everything on one drive. Simple. No annoyances of remembering where I put things, or which program is installed on which drive. This is the way I like it. Don't understand? That's okay. This is the way I like it.
And yes, I read about the part of mapping the users folder and all that.
Also, If I want the benefits of a SSD I would install a game on it. Oh wait, I can't. Storage would be gone immediately. So I have the OS on it. But then what speed benefit would I really see? Not much. I have tried it. I noticed around a 5 or 10 second difference each time. I am not willing to pay for that.

Once and only once I can use a SSD as my only drive with large storage will I move. This way all my data gets all the benefits of the speed. Instead of only certain things. If I get a SSD I want everything to be able to take advantage. Not just some of it.
I have tried a SSD drive in my system (120GB). Still Not worth the cost to me. I don't wait with my computer now. Programs load instant for me as well. There is simply no benefit for me right now.

I hear what you all are saying, but this is my opinion and what I want. Thanks for trying though :)

I don't mean for this to come across as rude at all to anyone. If so I apologize. Thanks for the explanations and time spent explaining. :)

Your awesome for reading this.
Well, we are listening to what you are saying. The thing is, we've heard people say exactly what you are saying time and time again, and when they do make the plunge to an SSD, they don't know how they ever lived without one. So much bad info is out there regarding SSD's, it's important that people have the right information from SSD owners and people who actually know what they are talking about. If you are happy with what you have, rock on.

Yeah I wouldn't be without my SSD, I have my OS, Office 2010, anti virus and Adobe CS2 on there. All my other programs are on a 2TB WD Black and file and backup storage is on a 2TB WD Green. I've never been happier than with the setup I have now.

I have everything that can benefit from a faster drive on my SSD. OS, every program/application, and games. I just remapped the Users folder to a hard drive but on the surface, it looks like it's still on the C: drive. If I want to access videos, pictures, music, documents or downloads, I just have to click on the link in explorer and it takes me right to it. I don't have to click on another drive and navigate through any folders. I have the same file system as anybody else with their files all on one drive. I didn't have to make a bunch of folders, and create directories to those folders in all of my programs, I just left it alone so stuff I download from the internet goes into my downloads, saving documents to the default location saves them in documents, etc.

I have my OS on the Vertex 3.

I have my documents, Office, Lightroom, and all of my Steam games on the Vertex 2.

I use the 320 GB HDD for photo and video backups, as well as a system image backup.

With sequential upgrades, I spent $250 on my Vertex 2 in 2010, and $180 on the Vertex 3 in 2011. The 320 GB WD HDD only cost me $80 in 2012.

I got lucky with my ASUS GTX 680. A good friend gave it to me as a present. ;)

I just put everything on my ssd program and games, then save movies and such on my other drive. I thought about space and went with a 256gb ssd. It works for me, heck I still have about 100gig free on the ssd :D
